The conference will present the first-ever financial transaction for biodiversity services in the world, carried out within the framework of Peru’s MERESE (Payment for Ecosystem Services Mechanisms). The project is part of a strategic partnership between Servicio Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (SERNANP), FRONTERRA, MINAM and RESTORE – biodiversity, together. This initiative aims to close financial and conservation gaps in the Sierra del Divisor National Park and Reserved Zone. This will be the first ever project funded by RESTORE – biodiversity, together.
