— RESTORE, a vehicle dedicated to biodiversity credits, provides economic actors with the financing tool for biodiversity that enables them to take action.

What does RESTORE do ?

RESTORE’s priority is to bring to life restoration and preservation projects that are just waiting for a financial boost to get started.

To date, it is the only vehicle offering to finance biodiversity for its own sake, while relying on a solid and innovative economic model that transforms one-time funding into sustainable assets.

Identification and Selection

Placement of Financing

Placement of financing into the actions of the Society, allowing for their inclusion in the long term.

Documentation of Biodiversity Units® ("UB")

Intangible assets corresponding to an action in favor of biodiversity, expressed in square meters, granting their holder the right to allocate funding for these biodiversity restoration or preservation actions.

Registration of Biodiversity Units

With an independent third party, management and then certification by the most stringent standards to ensure their recognition, and even their transferability and assignability, within a broad and recognized scope.

Action

Assets

Two main action areas contribute to restoring and preserving biodiversity.

Restoration of natural spaces

Preservation of natural spaces

These action areas, which do not generate any revenue by design, are prioritized by RESTORE. This is why RESTORE contributes to preserving and/or recreating spaces that are conducive to biodiversity in order to align them with their natural trajectory.

A third action area: sustainable management of production spaces

This action area allows for the reconciliation of human activity and biodiversity. Therefore, organic farming, sustainable forestry management, and construction using biodiversity-positive methods contribute to this approach, although funding often comes from the concerned activity. This dimension is included in some of the RESTORE projects.
