Restore was at the IUCN World Conservation Congress 2025 in Abu Dhabi ! This conference is one of the most influential global gatherings for nature, bringing together governments, indigenous leaders, scientists, young people, civil society, and the private sector to shape the international solutions that the world urgently needs. The Restore – Biodiversity, Together team is committed to building strong relationships with all stakeholders in the ecosystem who are committed to the emergence, definition, and deployment of biodiversity credits. These relationships are built around common themes, allowing us to capitalize on feedback and observations from the field as well as the needs of economic actors in the context of increasingly demanding regulations. We want to actively contribute to the key issues of the moment, such as defining the best methodologies for quantifying biodiversity gains, sharing responsibilities and results throughout the value chain, addressing market expectations, and ensuring the equitable sharing of the value generated. This conference is an opportunity to meet, over the course of a few days, a wide range of scientists, project leaders, associations, and institutions with whom we have been communicating for months or years via videoconference. We can also hear everyone’s points of view and bring out ideas and experiences that are not normally highlighted, such as the voices of indigenous peoples, but which are nevertheless fundamental to these biodiversity issues, which they know best. Thank you to all the participants who attended, and see you next year !
